Windows 7 has been a big success in the United States, but Microsoft and HP are still the most-trusted brands in this country, according to a new study.
The study, conducted by Gartner, found that both Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise had higher usage than any other brand, but in a world where Microsoft dominates, and Windows is a critical part of the PC operating system, it is important to remember that both companies have been around for a long time.
Both companies have long been in the running to be the most influential brands in computing, Gartners study said, with Microsoft still leading with 95% of users who say they use the company’s products, and HP’s 81% of respondents.
HP was the most trusted brand by a whopping 61% of people who said they use HP products, while Microsoft’s 83% figure was higher than that of Apple and Google, and slightly higher than Samsung, which came in third at 75%.
The study said that Microsoft’s success had a lot to do with the fact that it is still the best-selling Windows operating system in the US, with a total of 2.5 billion computers sold since the company launched in 2000.
HP is still a popular brand in the UK, with more than two million units sold, and Microsoft has sold more than 5 million PCs, but its market share has been declining in the past few years.
In the UK the two companies are now second and third in terms of total PC sales, but the study also noted that HP is much less popular than Microsoft.
The study compared the US with the UK and found that people are much more likely to use Microsoft products, as opposed to Hewlett-Packard Enterprise products, which are generally seen as more popular.”HP’s brand is a bit more important to people in the West and the US,” said David Anderton, a senior analyst with Garters.
The study also found that HP was more popular than Apple and Android smartphones in the EU, where the market is much smaller than in the USA. “
But people in Europe use the same brands, and people in Asia use a lot more HPs.”

Microsoft has sold over 10 million Windows PCs, more than any brand besides Apple, with 2.2 million units shipped.
It has also been the most important PC manufacturer in the history of the company, selling over 2.7 billion Windows PCs globally.
More than 70% of the Windows PC market is in the Asia-Pacific region, where Microsoft is one of the biggest players, with the majority of its PC sales coming from China.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella said he expected to see growth in Windows sales in the future, and said he wanted to increase the number of people using Microsoft’s products.
However, Microsoft hasn’t yet released any figures for the number people using the company software.
